Enhancements

  • App Template - The Leave Request App Template has been released. This Template allows users to request leave but also allows admins to manage the number of hours a user can take leave. Leave is also divided into different types which can have their own hours that users can spend.
  • Page Template - Header Page Template updated to Header and Footer Page Template. We’ve added a footer to our page template, which is always on the bottom. This should improve the time for building basic pages.
  • Page Builder - Ability the group filters in Data Components for more complex queries. Read more about it in this special post.
  • Page Builder - Default Application Title & Description so that it can be shared via social links.
  • Page Builder - Saving Components from canvas includes style so that the style can be reused cross-Application. Read more about it in this special post.
  • Page Builder - Create, read, update and delete Authentication Profiles in the new IDE interface. We also added an empty state for the Authentication Profiles overview.
  • Page Builder - Jump to parent Data Component in design mode. You can jump to the Component that provides the Data very easily when you are deeply nested in child Components.
  • Page Builder - Conditionally redirect to another Page from the context of an Action.
  • Page Builder - Combined Data and Variable button for the right-hand side filtering in filter rows.
  • Data Model - We released the Validations overview scoped inside a Model. It shows you what Validation kinds are applied to which Properties. Read more about it in this special post.
  • Data Model - The "File extensions" property option is moved to the Validations section in the detail view.
  • Data API - We enhanced the Data API for filtering on date-time values with timezones.
  • My Betty Blocks - We released the new invitation flow where newly invited Users can register and get access to their own personal environment where they create Applications themselves. Read more about it in this special post.
  • Helper mode - This function was already available in the Page Builder. Now it’s also present in Actions and also for the Theme Builder.

Announcements
  • My Betty Blocks - Later in October, we will change the default email settings for newly created Applications. From then all the transactional emails for new Applications will be sent via “Demo settings” (which is FlowMailer - EU based), instead of via Mandrill (USA based).

We recommend switching to “custom SMTP configuration” settings when your Applications move to Production because you can then email via your own @domain. It will still be possible to keep using Mandrill as well, via your own account (API key). All existing Applications that have already been created prior to this change will not be affected by our update.

That was all for now. Your feedback allows us to continuously improve the Product. So please, let us know what you think about it!
