Part of developing an app can be finding out a new action does the opposite of what you initially wanted. If that happens, you don't want to affect your production data or your users.
By developing and testing in a sandbox, a crisis can be diverted. When you're happy with the changes, push them to production with the new Application Merger.
We created a new version of our Application Merger. This means when updating your production environment with the changes from your sandbox, a new mechanic is used.
This brings the following advantages:
- Faster.
- More stable.
- Less prone to errors.
- Supports merging pages from the new Page Builder.
- New interface to inspect changes.
Another part of this update is that all new applications are created in a new Platform Zone, using Microsoft Azure. This makes our management easier, and delivers a better experience to our users.
These features are (at time of writing) only available for applications created after this release.
