Feature Focus Webinar: Unlock the Power of the new Pages Compiler

Tuesday, we hosted a webinar about the new Pages Compiler in Betty Blocks. Don't worry if you missed it, as we’ve got you covered with the full recording.

In this session, Ramses Oudt (Technical Account Manager) and Jelmer Kok (Product Owner) walked through the architectural improvements behind the new compiler and demonstrated what these changes mean in practice for application builders working in the Betty Blocks IDE.

At a high level, the new Pages Compiler moves away from compiling individual pages and instead compiles the application as a whole. This shift enables more consistent runtime behavior, improved performance, and a stronger foundation for building and maintaining complex, logic-heavy applications over time.

Some of the key enhancements covered in the session include:

  • Full-application compilation instead of page-level compilation
  • The introduction of User Variables and Page Variables
  • Improved query performance and runtime efficiency
  • Faster iteration cycles when developing and testing page logic
  • Greater scalability for enterprise-grade applications

These improvements are designed to reduce friction during development while also improving the experience for end users interacting with your applications in production environments.

If you have more questions, please reach out via email to Jelmer, our Product Owner responsible for this feature.
