On June 1st, we're going to make a one time change and turn off the logging for all Legacy actions on all of our Public clusters. We've noticed that many actions have this turned on, often because builders simply forget about it, and logging impacts the performance of actions. For some more so than others.
We're not permanently disabling the logging. It's a clean sweep. After which you're free to turn it back on for actions you really want logged, in the Actions edit view.
This clean sweep is in preparation of a new feature where we periodically turn off logging for all actions. Turning it on for an action would then result in a limited time window for which we log the execution of the action. The interval at which we would do this is still to be determined.
Another side effect of this change is that all logs for NextGen actions from before this date will be lost. We realise this may be inconvenient for some, but we feel the decision is justified considering the stability it will bring to the platform.
