At the beginning of the third quarter, we will release the records view feature. With it, the business technologist and low-coder are able to read, create, update, and delete records in a very easy and quick way directly within the IDE.
With the records view, builders have a quick and uncomplicated overview of the data of a model, available in the IDE. This feature is solely meant for builders to manage data on database level. Where you first had to create a page builder back office in runtime, now you will find the records view within your data model IDE. Which enables you to work with your data in your building environment.
The records view is a tool specially built for the low-coder and business technologist to manage data directly in the IDE. We offer an unfiltered view of all the records without switching between environments. As a builder, you will be able to easily create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) records, and have one source of truth regarding your application's data.
When you want to provide your non-builder or administrator with a customized back office or to do a batch action like sending a mail to multiple users, the page builder back office is your way forward. With the page builder, you’ll be able to fully customize and style your back office to your liking.
In the very first version of the records view, you will be able to read the records of a model. Soon after that, we will release the create, update, and deletion of records functionality and will continue with the ability to re-order, filter and search within your records.
The records view will also be connected to the Role Based Access Control feature so that you will be able to manage the permissions of which builder role is allowed to CRUD the records in. the IDE.
That was all for now, your feedback allows us to continuously improve our product. Please, let us know what you think about it. Happy building! 😃
